Email: Mrs. Susan Kupchella

My name is Susan Kupchella and it has been my pleasure to be the teaching librarian at our North campus since the year 2000. My goal is to partner with you in developing lifelong readers who are well-equipped to flourish in the current information age. By introducing your children to excellent literature, we seek to build within them a critical approach for choosing reading material that deepens them mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

I attended the Ohio State University and Kent State University, hold a B.S. in education with specialization in Education of the Gifted, and have done some graduate work in the field of children's literature.

My husband and I have four sons, all of whom attended Chapel Hill Christian School and CVCA from kindergarten through high school.
Goals Of Our Library Program

After attending Chapel Hill Christian School, your child should be able to function easily in any school or public library. We teach the children the basic organization of a library so that they can look books up on the online catalog, locate them on the shelves, use various reference materials and do online research.

Each grade builds into its reading program many reasons to visit the library. We can help your child choose a book from a specific reading list or gather information for a report or project. Through the course of attending this school, your child will come to know the library as a place to find satisfying reading material as well as help for homework.
